Wolf Creek Resort has something to offer everyone. From the wobbly-legged beginner, the fun-filled family carving sessions to the most hairball cornice blasting extremist. Beautifully groomed runs, sun-filled bowls and chest-deep secret tree runs produce hoots that echo throughout the entire valley. Located at the top Wolf Creek Pass, the Resort has the highest base elevation of any Colorado Resort.
This little tidbit ensures that Wolf Creek is always the first resort to open and receives more snow per year than any other Colorado Resort. Although we have been coming to Wolf Creek for years, every year produces new memories which force us to come back for more. One of the best is last years post-Thanksgiving turkey bash at local pro-snowboarder and backcountry charger Kalei Pitcher's house.
Along with local shredders Alan, Eric and even their dog 'Tug' we enjoyed the turkey festivities. Kalei probably enjoyed the turkey a little more than the rest of us since his dinner the night before consisted of a Tigers Milk bar that he had to share with the rest of the Burton 'B' Team. Apparently they had just finished a photo shoot and accidentally dropped-in on the wrong side of a ridge.
